Our safety policy

OneStage has been certified as compliant with CHAS (Contractors Health and Safety Scheme) since 2008 and can be found on the CHAS database of compliant companies. For more information, please visit www.chas.gov.uk

Accommodation

OneStage only use hotels and youth hostels which conform to local safety standards and accommodation offered to our clients is regularly inspected. Every supplier of accommodation is asked to return a self-assessment on an annual basis, which covers all aspects of safety, including provision for emergencies such as fire, hygiene (if food is provided) and insurance details. A copy of this self assessment is available to all our clients on request, plus any supplementary information required for our clients' risk assessments.

Ferry Operators / Eurotunnel

OneStage currently work with all the main ferry companies and Eurotunnel. All operators have their own safety policies, which can be sent to clients at their request.

Hire of coaches from the UK

OneStage only hire executive coaches which are fitted with seatbelts. All facilities on each coach be clearly confirmed to you in your initial Estimate and again before you travel. All Coach Operators employed by OneStage, are subject to a comprehensive Service Agreement, in which all aspects of safety, maintenance, driver qualifications, emergency procedures and insurance are verified. A copy of our Service Agreement with any coach company can be viewed on request.

Ground handlers and overseas coach companies

Coaches hired outside the UK, (for groups who fly to their destination) are usually booked through local ground handlers with whom we hold comprehensive Service Agreements under which aspects of coach safety are clearly stipulated. Further information or copies of these agreements can be provided.

Pre-tour visits

OneStage always encourage Group Leaders or key staff to undertake an inspection visit prior to the tour. The cost of accommodation, travel and local assistance for this visit can be included at the outset at your request, or passed on a separate item on the group's final invoice, if not arranged as a prior inclusion. There is no charge for the organisation of the visit.

24 Hour Emergency Assistance

All Group Leaders will have access to a 24 hour emergency line during their tour. Clients are encouraged to take a bi-lingual Tour Manager, employed by OneStage on tour with them, although this is not compulsory.
