Tours to Estonia

Throughout history, the Danes, Swedes, Poles, Germans and Russians have all left their mark on Estonia, creating a unique blend of cultures. The most northerly of the Baltic States, Estonia only gained independence from the Soviet Union in 1991, but has since grown in stature as a popular and thriving tourist destination. The capital city of Tallinn includes one of the best preserved medieval towns in the world, complete with a castle, original defensive walls and narrow passages and lanes. Shops selling traditional arts and crafts abound and hotels and restaurants are of an extremely high quality, making Tallinn an ideal short break destination. For groups wanting to spend more than two or three days, we recommend a visit to the vibrant seaside resort of Pärnu, or the historic university town of Tartu which are both within a two hour drive of the capital. Estonians have a deep devotion to music, particularly choral singing – the incredible Song Festival which is held every spring in Tallinn involves thousands of singers and is testament to this.
