In July, high standard groups are invited to perform to enormous crowds as part of a festival in Tuscany, at venues such as San Stefano in Florence and a specially erected concert platform in San Gimignano Town Square. The elegant spa town of Montecatini nearby is a popular place to stay with excellent hotels, most with their own swimming pool.
