Touring Spain

The Costa Dorada, (the coastal stretch between Barcelona and Tarragona) is an ideal base for music tours. There are numerous resorts along the coast and a wide choice of excellent hotels which are either a short walk from the beach or directly on the beach front.

In this area, visiting groups are welcomed at numerous outdoor venues and local festivals at in the surrounding towns and villages during high season (June - August) and there are performance opportunities at a variety of churches in Barcelona and other nearby towns throughout the year. Between performances, visits to the exciting city of Barcelona and the historic town of Tarragona can be arranged, as well as tickets for local attractions such as Port Aventura, an excellent theme park which proves highly successful with young groups.

Onestage can now offer tours to Andalucia, with accommodation and concerts in Seville, Granada, Cordoba and the surrounding area. We also offer the Galicia region, including Santiago di Compostela and La Coruňa.

Visiting Barcelona

Barcelona is one of Spain's most fascinating cities boasting a fine melée of modern and ancient architecture. The city's best known boulevard, Las Ramblas runs through the heart of the old city, and is an excellent place to shop, see the flower and bird markets, and be entertained by local buskers and street artists.

Exquisite examples of modernist architecture can be found at various locations, and definitely not be missed are Gaudi's Sagrada Familia, Park Guell and Casa Battlo. Other main attractions include the Picasso Museum, the Jean Miro Foundation, the Barri Gotic district where the cathedral is situated, and the Olympic Port.

Visiting the Costa Dorada region

There are plenty of attractions of all kinds along this lovely stretch of cost. Lovers of history and architecture will enjoy visiting the breathtaking monastery at Montserrat, where choirs are welcome to sing for 15 minutes during their visit. The Roman city of Tarragona, dating back to 2 BC is also a popular sightseeing option, as is the interesting Pablo Casal's Museum in the village of St Salvador.

Adult groups are welcomed to wine-tasting tours at the Cava and Torres vineyards and youth groups are always thrilled by a visit to Port Aventura, (arguably one of the best theme parks in Europe) or a visit to Aqualand in La Pineda, which is a top water-park attraction.

Visiting Andalucia

Andalucia is a region of Spain with a unique feel to it and excellent weather for most of the year. Influenced by Christian, Islamic and Jewish peoples over many centuries, the towns and cities display a wealth of varied archicture, including Moorish and Mudejar. The towns and cities have beautifully preserved old quarters crammed with aluring hidden patios, elaborately decorated facades and flowered balconies. You can visit wonderful churches and palaces, Flamenco shows and Turkish baths, ending the day with a feast of delicious tapas.

Seville is one of the most lively and and popular cities in Spain. The shopping and nightlife is sophisticated and the old districts of Santa Cruz and Triana quite memorable. You can visit the Cathedral and climb up the Giralda for wonderful views, before stepping across the street to the Mudejar palace, the Alcazar.

Enjoy winding your way around the incredibly narrow, twisting streets of Cordoba, before visiting the magnificent Mosque-Cathedral, one of Spain’s most wonderful and eclectic architectural masterpieces.

A tour of Andalucia would not be complete without a visit to Granada, home to Spain’s most popular tourist attraction, the Alhambra. Born of the Nasrid culture, this Hispanic-Moorish edifice sits atop a hill overlooking the city and contains some of the most exquisite and elaborate Moorish architecture in the world.
